Production values are slipping on this calendar series. I buy this same calendar for every new year. The 2016 version is not up to the production standards of previous years. I keep the old ones so I'm able to compare them side-by-side. The 2016 calendar has lower quality editing (color correction, cropping, image resolution, etc.) and printing. Colors are washed out - even the front cover looks like it's been sitting in a sunny window for a few months, which is highly unlikely since it's just now January 2016.Also, the beagle models are not nearly as pretty and cute as they have been in previous years. Yes, that's a very subjective point but trust me - if you have the older calendars in hand and you flip through the 2016, you'll definitely see what I mean. Some of the 2016 beagles are kind of - well - they definitely wouldn't win any ribbons at kennel club shows.
I'll look for another publisher for my 2017 calendar.

I gave this calendar as a gift and just heard from my son and he asked if I knew this was a 2016 calendar? True, it's my fault, I should have noticed it was a 2016 calendar, but who sales 2016 calendars in December of 2016. I'm quite disappointed!
